Eight-year-old Tyler Kautzman met SSG Eddie Greiner when the youngster asked for donations for overseas troops instead of birthday presents. The donations were sent to Eddie's 82nd Airborne Division. When Eddie came back home, he visited Tyler, and they became fast friends. The five-year friendship story has a very sad ending because Eddie was killed in a motorcycle accident when a pickup turned left in front of him. This 5K memorial walk/run is to celebrate their friendship and Eddie's life. Proceeds benefit the Yellow Ribbon Girls, a non- profit dedicated to sending monthly care packages to our service men & women overseas. Visit www.eddie5kwalk.com for additional information or to register, donate or volunteer. Visit the event’s Facebook page atwww.facebook.com/groups/EdwardGreiner5k.
