Penn State Master Gardeners of Allegheny County is having a "Garden in the Park" field day at the demonstartion gardens. This event is free and open to the public. There will be stations located throughout the garden to provide information on pollinators, herbs, composting and rain barrels. Participants can visit with local beekeepers and take guided tours throughout the gardens and sample a variety of tomatoes, garlic, basil and Penn State ice cream. A garden market of plants and locally grown produce will be available to purchase. Kids can enjoy hands on gardening activities. Master Gardeners will be avaiable to answer questions and share their expertise. It will be a fun day for all!
