Kindergarten LEGO Program

Calling all morning Kindergartners! Looking for something fun to do in the afternoon when school is out of session?

The Jr. Brick Engineer program, which is tailored to children ages 5 and 6, is a great introduction to progressive LEGO building concepts.  Larger bricks make complex tricks with gears and pulleys seem easy.  Although your child may already be working with small bricks, this is a unique program aimed at teaching balance, buoyancy, and energy.  We use the proven LEGO® Education curriculum to introduce Kindergarten children to scientific concepts by exploring, investigating and building with hands-on activities.

Each week, your child will be presented with a real-world problem and guided through a creative solution. Using pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles, they will build a machine.  Next they will make a prediction about how it will work and then put it to the test!

This program will not only enrich your child from an educational perspective, but also reinforce teamwork.  Children work in pairs, using a “building buddy” system. This type of cooperative learning strengthens communication skills and also builds self-esteem.
