This month, the group is off to the Scandinavian capitals of Oslo, Norway; Stockholm; and Helsinki. Stops will include a tour of the Swedish royal residence of Drottningholm Palace, Sweden's answer to Versailles.
There will be a visit to the Vasa museum, home to the Vasa warship that was the Titanic disaster of its day (1628), and tour Suomelinna, Europe's second mightiest fortress, after Gibraltar. There will be a tour of an opera house for a concert inside the theater as well as on top of it. Participants will see Viking ships as well as the Kon-Tiki raft that sailed across the Pacific.
The group meets at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15th. No reservation is required.
