“Honoring Diversity in Our Community” is the theme of the Twelfth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast. Sponsored by the North Hills Unity Breakfast Committee, the breakfast is held at the Zappala Student Center of La Roche College. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with breakfast promptly at 8:30 a.m.
Dr. Marcus Rediker, Distinguished Professor of Atlantic History at the University of Pittsburgh will deliver the keynote address. The Indian Cultural Association of Pittsburgh (ICAP) will receive the 2012 Spirit of Unity Award. Joy Maxberry Woodruff will act as Mistress of Ceremonies.
The cost of the breakfast is $18 for adults and $9 for students. Seating is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
