Expect Terrible Traffic Conditions On Parkway North This Weekend

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills residents bound for Downtown should allow themselves extra time this weekend, as there will be significant lane restrictions on the southbound Parkway North (I-279).

From 7 p.m. on June 16 until 6 a.m. on June 19, PennDOT will reduce three lanes of traffic to a single lane between the Venture Street interchange and the Suffolk Street Bridge. One southbound lane on mainline I-279 and the southbound HOV lane will remain open to traffic while bridge repair work occurs.

The bridge work is part of an $88 million Parkway North rehabilitation project that focuses on the southbound lanes this year.
