Five Things To Do This Weekend, North Hills

Green Day, Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet Festival and the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops are the activities you can add to your weekend schedule.

  • Green Day, Petersen Events Center, March 25 at 8 p.m.

The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame members, Grammy-award winners and pop-punk pioneers bring the Revolution Radio Tour to Pittsburgh. Expect to hear such classic songs as “Basket Case,” “American Idiot,” and “Good Riddance (“Time of Your Life”). Tickets start at $53.

  • Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet Festival, David L. Lawrence Convention Center, March 25, 9 a.m-5:30 p.m.; March 26, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

On Saturday, learn about community needle felting projects with skacel. On Sunday, the emphasis will be on the new designs, shading techniques, ribbons and flosses of embroidery. Click here for details.

  • Bassem Youssef, Byham Theater, March 25 at 8 p.m.

The Jon Steward of the Arab world was the host of the first political satire show in the Middle East, AlBernameg. He’s appearing as part of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Pittsburgh Humanities Festival. Tickets start at $20.

  • Pittsburgh Symphony Pop's “The Sounds of Simon & Garfunkel,” Heinz Hall, March 25 at 8 p.m; March 26 at 2:30 p.m.

Michael Krajewski conducts this tribute, featuring Simon and Garfunkel hits such as: "The Sound of Silence," "Scarborough Fair," "Mrs. Robinson," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "The Boxer." Tickets start at $54.

  • “Polish Joke,” McKeesport Little Theater, March 25 at 8 p.m.; March 26 at 2 p.m.
