In the movie, The Lunchbox, Ila wants to add some spice to her marriage
by trying out a new recipe out on her neglectful husband. Mumbai is
famous for its efficient lunchbox delivery system. However this time it
is inadvertently sent to Saajan, a lonely man on the verge of
retirement. When there is no response to the meal by the husband, Ila
sends a note in the following day’s lunchbox. This begins a series of
lunchbox notes. The mere comfort of communicating with a stranger
relaxes Ila. The notes become little confessions about one another’s
loneliness. As this “virtual” relationship increases , it could
jeopardize their realities. Winner of 19 awards and 32 other
