ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — After seven decades, the end is here for Kretzler's Tavern on Babcock Boulevard. But the neighborhood bar is giving its patrons a great send-off with what promises to be a memorable New Year's Eve bash.

The fun starts at 4 p.m. with live entertainment and a buffet served between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The headlining act will be Greg, Rob and Scott of Pittsburgh favorites The Clarks playing an acoustic set of music.

Kretzeler's also will offer a champagne toast at midnight.

In November, the bar announced via social media that it was closing.

"Wow…..71 years , four generations have busted their butts to give the North Hills and surrounding communities a place to eat and drink. To mourn a loss of a family member. To celebrate a wedding, baby, graduation,Christmas party," a post on its Facebook page stated.
