ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA —A site once considered for a Walmart instead will become a $50 million apartment complex.

The township planning commission last week approved a conditional use permit for McKnight Residential at 7207 McKnight Road. The 13-acre property is adjacent to Ross Towne Center and near Ross Park Mall.

The developers plan to build four four-story apartment buildings, a community building and 17 rental townhouses, the Pittsburgh Business Times reported.
