Major Parkway North Work Planned This Weekend
If you travel I-279 southbound, you'll encounter traffic stoppages, lane restrictions and ramp closures.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills motorists should prepare for another weekend of significant construction work on the Parkway North (Interstate 279) southbound lanes. They also should prepare to be delayed if headed toward Downtown.
This weekend’s work actually will begin Thursday, weather permitting. The High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane will close to traffic near the Venture Street interchange from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. All HOV traffic will be shifted into mainline I-279 as crews remove the barrier from the Route 28 ramp to I-279 and shift traffic on mainline I-279. The HOV lanes will remain in use between Perrysville Avenue and Venture Street.
