McKnight Road Inbound Ramp To Parkway Closed This Weekend

That won't be the only parkway-related annoyance southbound motorists will face.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills motorists trying to get Downtown via the McKnight Road inbound ramp to the Parkway North this weekend should give themselves extra time. PennDOT will be repaving the ramp from 7 a.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

The detour is simple:

  • From McKnight Road, continue onto Evergreen Road
  • From Evergreen Road, turn left onto the Venture Street on-ramp to southbound I-279
  • End detour.

In addition to the ramp closure, lane restrictions on the parkway will occur between the Swindell Bridge and North 28 East Street (Exit 2B) interchange from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. Three lanes of traffic will be reduced to a single lane on the mainline parkway. One southbound lane on mainline parkway and the southbound High Occupancy Vehicle lane will remain open to traffic. Crews will conduct paving operations and bridge repair work.
