Mineo's Pizza Preparing North Hills Location Launch
The beloved Pittsburgh pizza parlor is on the verge of opening its third location.

HAMPTON, PA — After lengthy pandemic delays, the Mineo's Pizza empire is expanding. The Squirrel Hill pizza parlor, which also has a Mt. Lebanon, is now hiring workers for its third shop in Hampton.
Applications are now being accepted for the new location at the former Tuscan Inn on Wildwood Road. The pizzeria announced on its web site that it is looking to hire pizza makers, dishwashers, line cooks, hostesses, takeout counter and prep help.
The pizzeria hopes to open by mid- to late April.

"We are excited to be coming to the North Hills in the former location of the Tuscan Inn. It's an amazing space with lots of history to join with our own," a post on the website stated. "Shout out to all our hard working contractors trying to get us open soon - and to all our anxiously waiting customers. It has been quite the challenge."
The acclaimed pizza house, which opened in Squirrel Hill in 1958, is so popular that there's a link on its website for pies to be shipped overnight to any place in the country. In 2017, the Tasting Table website named Mineo's the best pizza in Pennsylvania.

"Pittsburgh is an underrated, great pizza town, and this old-school favorite is one of the best," Tasting Table raved. "The family recipe comes with a generous grating of cheese, crispy crust and Italian tomato-based sauce, and gives Aiello's, the longstanding rival favorite in town, a run for
its money."
