More Parkway North Misery Scheduled This Weekend
Here's your Patch guide to the considerable work PennDOT has planned.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Getting around the Parkway North is going to prove cumbersome again this weekend, as PennDOT plans a variety of lane restrictions and ramp closures. Here’s what’s in store:
- Southbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane between the East Street (Exit 4) and East Ohio Street (Exit 2B) from Friday at 7 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m. as crews conduct approach slab repair work.
- Northbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane between the Suffolk Street Bridge and the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) interchange from 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday night at 8 p.m. for paving operations.
- Northbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane between the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 6) and Camp Horne Road (Exit 8) interchanges from 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday night at 8 p.m. for paving operations.
- The ramp from the HOV lanes to northbound I-279 will close to traffic for a short period of time between 7 p.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday. Crews will conduct paving operations. Ramp traffic will be detoured.
- The ramp from northbound I-279 to Hazlett Street (Exit 3) will close to traffic for a short period of time between 6 a.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday. Crews will conduct paving operations. Ramp traffic will be detoured.

HOV Off-ramp to Northbound I-279:

- Continue on the HOV lanes to the Perrysville Avenue Park and Ride.
- Turn right onto Perrysville Avenue (Route 19).
- Turn right onto Cemetery Lane.
- Turn right onto the ramp to northbound I-279.
- End detour.
Northbound I-279 Off-ramp to Hazlett Street:
- Continue on northbound I-279 past the closed ramp.
- Take the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) off-ramp.
- Bear right towards Evergreen Road.
- Turn left onto Evergreen Road.
- At the traffic signal, turn left onto Evergreen Road.
- Evergreen Road becomes East Street.
- Follow East Street to Hazlett Stree.t
- End detour.
