More Parkway North Ramp Clousures, Lane Restrictions This Week

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A new week is under way, and so are more overnight lane restrictions and ramp closures on the Parkway North. Here is the schedule from Sept 24 through Sept. 28:

Northbound I-279 traffic will be reduced to a single-lane between the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 5) and Camp Horne Road (Exit 8) interchanges from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night as crews conduct paving operations.

Additionally, ramp paving work requiring overnight closures will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night in the following locations:

  • Cemetery Lane at the Perrysville Avenue interchange on-ramp to northbound I-279
  • Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Bellevue/West View (Exit 7)
  • Union Avenue at the Bellevue/West View interchange on-ramp to northbound I-279
  • Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Camp Horne Road (Exit 8)
  • Camp Horne Road on-ramp to northbound I-279

Ramp traffic will be detoured as follows:

Cemetery Lane at the Perrysville Avenue interchange on-ramp to northbound I-279:
· Motorists will travel south on Route 19.
· Turn left onto Ivory Avenue.
· Turn left onto Nelson Run Road.
· Turn left onto West View Avenue.
· Merge onto McKnight Road.
· Continue straight onto Evergreen Road which becomes East Street.
· Take the ramp to northbound I-279 at the Hazlett Street interchange.
· End detour.

Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Bellevue/West View (Exit 7):
· Continue northbound on I-279 past the closed ramp.
· Take the Camp Horne Road (Exit 8) off-ramp.
· Turn left onto Camp Horne Road.
· Take the ramp onto southbound I-279 toward Pittsburgh.
· Take the ramp to Bellevue/West View.
· End detour.


Union Avenue at the Bellevue/West View interchange on-ramp to northbound I-279:

  • Follow Union Avenue westbound.
  • Take the ramp to southbound I-279 toward Pittsburgh.
  • Take the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 5) off-ramp.
  • Turn left onto Cemetery Lane.
  • Take the ramp to northbound I-279.
  • End detour.

Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Camp Horne Road

  • Continue on northbound I-279 past the closed ramp.
  • Merge onto northbound I-79.
  • Take the Wexford (Exit 73) off-ramp.
  • Turn left onto Wexford Bayne Road (Route 910).
  • Turn left onto southbound I-79.
  • Take South I-279 (Exit 72) off-ramp toward Pittsburgh.
  • From southbound I-279, take the Camp Horne Road (Exit 8) off-ramp.
  • End detour.

Camp Horne Road on-ramp to Northbound I-279:

  • From Camp Horne Road, take the on-ramp to southbound I-279.
  • Take the Bellevue/West View (Exit 7) off-ramp.
  • Turn right onto Union Avenue.
  • Turn left onto northbound I-279.
  • Follow northbound I-279 back to the closed ramp.
  • End detour.

Additionally, single-lane restrictions will occur in each direction of Union Avenue between the northbound and southbound ramps from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night for paving operations.

Also:

  • Southbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night between the East Street and East Ohio Street interchanges as crews conduct overhead sign replacement work. Additionally, traffic stoppages of 15 minutes or less will occur each night.
  • Northbound I-279 will have a single-lane restriction from the Perrysville Avenue and the Camp Horne Road interchanges from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day as crews conduct cable guide rail installation and median grading.
