More Parkway North Restrictions On Tap This Weekend

PennDOT will temporarily accommodate fans attending Sunday afternoon's Penguins game at PPG Paints Arena.

Used to those orange barrels yet, North Hills motorists?

A brief reprieve for Sunday’s Penguins game aside, single-lane restrictions and traffic shifts will occur Saturday and Sunday on the Parkway North as PennDOT continues preparatory work for the $88 million rehabilitation of the highway.

The restrictions and lane shifts in each direction from the Fort Duquesne Bridge to just north of the Camp Horne Road interchange will be in effect from 4 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday.

With the Penguins scheduled to play the Carolina Hurricanes Sunday at 5 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena, southbound restrictions will be lifted between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Northbound restrictions will be lifted at the end of the game to accommodate outbound traffic but will resume two hours after the game ends.
