Norbert F. Dietrich

Dietrich was a longtime member of St. Teresa of Avila Church, St. Teresa Athletic Association and the West View Ross Athletic Association. He worked for Truck Maintenance in McKees Rocks for 31 years and the North Hills School District for 13 years.

Norbert F. Dietrich, 75, of Sugar Lake, PA, formerly of Laurel Gardens, died Thursday, July 21, 2011.

Born in Pittsburgh Sept. 26, 1935, he is the son of the late Albert O. & Marion (Thomas) Dietrich.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sally A. (Hartle) Dietrich and is the father of Mary Caputo, Cindy (Bill) Windsor, Amy (Jim) Marburger, Norb (Cynthia) Dietrich and Becky (Rob) Schellhaas; devoted grandfather of Levi, Kelsey, Nicholas, Casey, Drew, Allyson, Ryan, Anthony and Valerie; brother of Robert (late Jean) Dietrich, Herbert (Vera) Dietrich, Wilbert Dietrich, Hubert (Eloyse) Dietrich, Philbert (Sis) Dietrich and the late Albert Dietrich, Gilbert Dietrich and Dolly Kress. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the , Inc., 388 Center Ave., West View and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes, 251 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Dietrich was a longtime member of , St. Teresa Athletic Association and the West View Ross Athletic Association. He worked for Truck Maintenance in McKees Rocks for 31 years and the for 13 years. He could diagnose a motor problem by sound and fix anything he touched. He loved hunting, fishing, his retirement at Sugar Lake, and spending time with his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335.
