North Allegheny Shuts Out North Hills 42-0

The Tigers scored 35 unanswered points in the second quarter to seal the victory.

For the second season in a row, North Allegheny defeated North Hills, and preserved a perfect regular season as the Tigers rolled on, seemingly invincible, toward a third WPIAL Championship.

Friday night's game at Newman Stadium was a defensive contest until the second quarter, when the Tigers scored 35 unanswered points. 

North Allegheny quarterback Mack Leftwich threw five touchdown passes on a 241- yard night.

The Tigers are undefeated in their last 18 games. Their opponents have scored a meager 27 points collectively. Their last loss was to North Hills on Oct. 29, 2010.

The Indians clinched a playoff berth last week and will be on the road against next week.
