North Hills 5th Grader Wins Statewide Drug-Free Art Contest

The contest was sponsored by state Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ross Elementary School fifth-grader Allie Gujski’s dog-inspired drawing is one of 13 winners in the statewide Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General’s Drug-Free Calendar Contest.

In October, more than 900 students from 140 schools across the state drafted original artwork illustrating a drug-free message in October. The winning entries were selected based on the artist’s creativity, ability to illustrate and convey a drug-free message.

In December, contest winners were invited to state Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s office and attended a luncheon in which he discussed the dangers of drugs with them. Each winner received a certificate and a $529 contribution to their Pennsylvania 529 College Savings Program.
