North Hills Adopts Student Athletics-Activities Plan

The district believes the plan will allow students to return safely to athletics and other activities.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The North Hills School District had adopted a plan that will enable students to again participate in athletics and other activities. The plan, developed from guidelines from local, state and federal agencies, follows a phased approach to keep students and coaches safe.

The athletic department will hold virtual coaches meetings prior to play beginning to review necessary guidelines and coaches will be encouraged to conduct parent-athlete meetings to do the same.

Additional safeguards include at-home and at-practice screenings of all student-athletes. Screening questionnaires and temperature checks will take place and all responses will be kept on file. Staff must self-monitor for symptoms of illness. Students and parents must also
sign a waiver prior to beginning the activity.
