North Hills Closer To Shifting 6th Graders To Middle School

ROSS TOWNSHIP PA - North Hills Middle School appears poised to become a grades 6-8 building beginning in the 2020-21 school year. Superintendent Patrick Mannarino is formally recommending the move and school directors are expected to vote on the proposal at their Feb. 21 meeting.
After studying the issue of increasing elementary school enrollments in recent years, Mannarino on Thursday presented his findings to the school board during its work session and legislation meeting. The district's elementary student population climbed to 2,546 students this school year, the highest elementary enrollment number since 1997-98.
