North Hills Communications Director Headed to Quaker Valley
Tina Vojtko will assume her new post on July 1.
The approved the hiring of Tina Vojtko, North Hills communications coordinator and open records officer, Tuesday night.
Vojtko, of Ross Township, was hired as director of communications and development for the Quaker Valley School District, effective July 1. Vojtko will be paid a salary of $65,000.
Vojtko fills the vacancy of Martha Smith, communications director, who retired earlier this year after having worked for the district for 12 non-consecutive years since 1994.

Vojtko has more than 11 years experience in public school communications and 10 years in nonprofit development. Prior to joining the North Hills staff, she served as the director of annual giving for West Liberty State College in West Virginia and as the director of community relations for a children’s service agency in Wheeling, W.Va.
The board also hired Jennifer Reiser, director of food services, effective July 1, at a salary of $62,000. Reiser has worked as an assistant food service director and nutrition educator in the North Allegheny School District.

Reiser of Allison Park fills the vacancy left by Betsy Klasnick, who also retired earlier this year after serving as food services manager in the district for 34 years.
According to Quaker Valley officials, Reiser has seven years of school food service management experience. She currently serves as the regional nutrition educator and assistant director for Metz Culinary Management, which manages the food service operation within North Allegheny.
She is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition. In addition, she is a registered dietician and licensed nutritionist.
