North Hills District Activities Abound In School Year's Waning Days

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The North Hills School District academic year is winding down, but there remain a number of important dates to keep in mind before it actually ends. What are they, you ask? Your friends at Patch are happy to provide the answer:

• Ongoing: 2017-18 kindergarten registration appointments.

• April 24-28: Math PSSA exam, grades 3-8

• April 25: Behind the Scenes Tour with Dr. Mannarino, 6:30

You're invited to join Superintendent Patrick J. Mannarino for a one-night-only tour of the middle school and high school buildings starting in the middle school LGI room. Mannarino will start the evening with a short presentation detailing the innovative activities and achievements happening in the district before before leading a tour of various spaces in both buildings, including the updated library media centers, the middle school STEAM Center and technology education rooms. • May 1-5: AP exams (high school); Science PSSA testing, grades 4 and 8.

• May 2: Grade 6 Track and Field Day, Martorelli Stadium

• May 2: Elementary Instrument Demo Night, 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

• May 4: Board of Education Work Session, 6 p.m. in the middle school LGI room.

• May 4: High School and Middle School Orchestras Concert, 7 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

• May 5: Arts Alive, 5-9 p.m. in the high school.

• May 6: Ross Township Police Bike Rodeo - 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the middle school parking lot.

• May 8: Elementary Orchestra Concert, 7 p.m.in the Ross Elementary auditorium.

• May 9: NHEA Awards Night, 7 p.m.

• May 12: Class of 2017 cap and gown distribution.

• May 12: High School Spring Choirs Concert, 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

• May 15-26: High School and Middle School Keystone Exams

• May 15: Middle School Bands Concert, 7 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

• May 16: No school for students, Primary Election Day.

• May 17: Jazz Senior Farewell Concert, 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

• May 17-18: Grade 6 Band Tour

• May 18: High School Awards Night 6:30 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

• May 23: Middle School Choirs Concert, 7 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

• May 26: Last day of school and early dismissal for students (10:30 a.m. high school, 11:30 a.m, middle school; 11:45 a.m. Highcliff and West View and 12:30 p.m., Ross and McIntyre).

• May 26: Class of 2017 Graduation, 7 p.m.,Martorelli Stadium.
