North Hills High School Senior Selected For Prestigious Pitt Program
Ruby Brunet one of only 10 students in Pennsylvania selected for the Nordenberg Leadership Scholars Program.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ruby Brunet is winding up her high school days on a high note. The North Hills High School senior is one of just 10 students in Pennsylvania selected to participate in the University of Pittsburgh’s Nordenberg Leadership Scholars Program.
The program, now in its third year, will provide Brunet with a full tuition scholarship with an estimated value of $110,000, three years of paid internships, a study abroad experience and numerous networking, career coaching and leadership activities.
Named after Pitt Chancellor Emeritus Mark A. Nordenberg, the program is designed to reward the best and brightest students from high schools who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills, innovative thinking, intellectual curiosity and community development.

According to the university website, Nordenberg Leadership Scholars are provided with the resources for a rich collegiate experience with opportunities for academic achievement, leadership development, civic engagement, and interaction with organizations and corporations in the Pittsburgh region.
Brunet plans to major in political science in college.
