North Hills To Hold Town Hall On Opioid Crisis, Vaping

The event will focus on warning signs, treatment and prevention.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A town hall addressing the opioid crisis will be held March 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 18 in the North Hills Middle School annex gym. Titled “The Opioid and Vaping Epidemics In Our Communities,” the event will focus on warning signs, prevention and treatment.

Attendees will hear from local leaders fighting the opioid epidemic, including Dr. C. Thomas Brophy, a board certified specialist in addiction medicine and emergency medicine; Philip Little with the state Attorney General’s Office, West View Police Chief Bruce Fromlak and Ross Township Police Chief Joseph Ley.

Topics for the speaker series include:
· Chemistry of Addiction to Vaping and Marijuana.
· A Parent’s Perspective.
· The Law, Treatment and Life After Recovery.
