North Hills Losing Assistant Superintendent

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills School District assistant superintendent Jeff Taylor is leaving the district to become superintendent of the Norwin School District in Westmoreland County.

A North Hills employee for the past 13 years, Taylor began his teaching career as a biology teacher in the Fort Cherry School District from 1994 to 1996 and Baldwin-Whitehall School District from
1996 to 2002. He began his administrative career in the Charleroi Area School District where he served as an assistant high school principal, academic principal, high school principal, and the secondary curriculum coordinator.

At North Hills, Taylor served as the director of curriculum, assessment and technology before being named assistant superintendent for curriculum, assessment and special programs in 2012. He became the assistant superintendent for curriculum, assessment and elementary education in 2016.

The position he's leaving encompasses K-12 curriculum and assessment, online learning,
professional development, integrating instructional technology into the curriculum, comprehensive planning, PIMS management, data analysis, elementary education and various other administrative special projects.

Taylor earned his bachelor's degree in secondary education-biology from Edinboro University and a master's degree in educational administration from Duquesne University. He received a second master's degree in multimedia technology from Duquesne.

He received his superintendent's letter of eligibility from California University of Pennsylvania and completed his doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh.
