North Hills' `Me And My Girl' Nominated For Two Gene Kelly Awards
The high school's recent production brings it nominations for best actor, all-student orchestra.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills High School’s recent production of “Me and My Girl” garnered two nominations Wednesday for the Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater.
The nominations were for:
- Best actor: Will Huffmyer
- Best all-student orchestra
“North Hills is fortunate to have a robust fine arts program,” said Superintendent Patrick Mannarino. “Each year our director, Glen Richey, and his staff continue to showcase the wonderful talents of our students. We are honored and delighted that they have been recognized for their hard work on this year’s production of ‘Me and My Girl.’ ”

Huffmyer’s nomination means he will compete the opportunity to represent the Pittsburgh CLO and the awards program at the National High School Musical Theater Awards in New York City in June.
North Hills is one of 27 western Pennsylvania high schools competing in the 27th annual Gene Kelly Awards, which will be held May 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Benedum Center, Downtown.
