North Hills Middle School Student Struck By Vehicle

WEST VIEW, PA - A North Hills Middle School student was struck by a vehicle while using a crosswalk at the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and Highland Avenue in West View. The student was transported to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and is receiving medical treatment.

School principal David Lieberman said staff members have been made aware of the incident and
counselors have spoken with middle school students who were at the nearby bus stop. In addition, counselors will be available for any student who might need to speak with someone about the incident.

West View Police are investigating this incident. Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to call 412-931-2800.
