North Hills Names New Athletic Director, McIntyre Principal

Both are veteran district employees.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills School District has filled two important vacancies, naming high school assistant principal Patrick Weber district athletic director and Michelle Spingola, the assistant principal for all elementary schools, the new McIntyre Elementary principal.

The pair will assume their new duties on July 1.

"I am extremely pleased to promote Mrs. Spingola and Mr. Weber to new leadership positions within North Hills School District,“ superintendent Patrick Mannarino said in a district release.”I have no doubt that each of them will make a positive impact on the lives of our students, teachers and families at McIntyre Elementary and throughout our district.

Weber has served as an assistant principal at the school since 2015 and is responsible for ninth and 10th grade students. Before becoming an assistant principal, Weber was a physical education and health teacher at Highcliff Elementary School and a physical education and health teacher at Morris Knolls High School in Rockaway, NJ

Weber has been an assistant football coach for the varsity football team since 2011 and also was a head coach for the boys varsity lacrosse team for three seasons. He also coached football and lacrosse in New Jersey. Weber also was a center and long snapper on the Penn State University football team from 2003 to 2007.

Weber earned his principal's certification and master's degree in educational leadership from California University of Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a teacher's certification from the Penn State. He lives in Ross Township with his wife and three daughters.

Spingola has been assistant elementary principal for all district elementary schools since 2017. Before assuming that role, she served as a school counselor at five district buildings including North Hills Middle School, Ross Elementary and McIntyre Elementary since 2009 and also from 2005 to 2007. She was responsible for scheduling,master schedule development, transition activities and classroom lessons among many other tasks. In between her time at North Hills, she served as a case coordinator for a physician's office.

Spingola earned her master's degree in counselor education and elementary school counseling and bachelor's degree in human development and family studies from Penn State University. She holds a principal's certification from Point Park University and a secondary school counseling certification from Slippery Rock University. She lives in Cranberry Township with her husband.
