North Hills School District AD Wins State Honor

Amy Scheuneman was among the athletic directors in five regions across the state to win a prestigious award.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills School District Director of Athletics Amy Scheuneman has been honored as Region IV Athletic Director of the Year by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association. The honor recognizes her service, leadership and interscholastic athletics involvement at the local and district level.

She became North Hills athletic director in 2016 after serving in the same position in the Bethel Park and Avonworth school districts. During her time at North Hills, numerous teams and student-athletes have advanced to the WPIAL playoffs and competed at the PIAA level. Last year, she started the Varsity Club, a leadership group for student-athletes.

Scheuneman has served as the president of the District 7 Athletic Directors Association for the past two years and is a member of the WPIAL Board of Directors and the PSADA Delegate Assembly. Through PSADA, she mentors new athletic directors to prepare them for future success.

She is a member of both the Plum Sports Athletic Hall of Fame and the PA Sports Hall of Fame: East Boros Chapter for her excellence as a student-athlete. She also has been honored as the Eastern Area Interscholastic Football Officials Administrator of the Year Award and given the Extra Mile Award at Bethel Park.
