North Hills School District Bus Driver Strike Averted

Drivers will be on the job Wednesday after a last-minute contract agreement was reached.

ROSS AND WEST VIEW, PA — A last minute contract was reached with North Hills School District bus drivers early Wednesday, so transportation will be provided to all district students, as well as private and parochial students.

The union representing the bus drivers and ABC Transit, the district's transportation contractor, was announced at around 1 a.m.

"Our bus drivers are a vital part of our daily operations. Without them, we cannot give all of our students the in-person educational experience they need and deserve,” Superintendent Patrick Mannarino said. “We are thankful the two sides could come together and reach an agreement."
