North Hills School District Expands McIntyre Elementay

Students will return to a considerably larger school than they had last year.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Students returning to McIntyre Elementary School in a few weeks are going to notice that their school is larger than when they left it to enjoy summer vacation. The district has added a $2.4 million, two-story, eight classroom addition in the back of the building.

The 11,480-square foot expansion also includes three group instruction rooms and a reworked playground area with several new equipment pieces and a hard-surface, rubber-coated playing area resembling the one that debuted at West View Elementary last year.

McIntyre also added a fifth kindergarten classroom by incorporating a new bathroom into an existing classroom. Various classrooms have been painted as well.
