North Hills School District, WQED Team Up For Vietnam War Event

The evening will include a screening of the new Ken Burns documentary.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills School District and WQED are teaming to hold a special screening of “The Vietnam War,” a new documentary film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.

The special event, occurring only in the North Hills district, will occur on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. in the North Hills Middle School LGI Room and dinner will be provided for all attendees. In addition to the screening, North Hills High School ninth graders will give presentations on low POW.MIA soldiers who served in Vietnam and participate in a panel discussion with Vietnam veterans.

Seating is limited, so if you plan to attend you should RSVP. Because of the film’s graphic nature, the district recommend that attendees be in Grade 9 or higher.
