North Hills School District's McIntyre Elementary Addition Nearly Complete
The additional McIntyre Elementary space will accommodate an anticipated increase in the number of students.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The addition to McIntyre Elementary School in the North Hills School District is progressing but district officials don’t expect it to be completed until the end of September.
The $2.4 million, two-story, eight classroom addition in the back of the building also will include three small instruction rooms. “These rooms are targeted for future use in the building as we project enrollment will increase in the future,” superintendent Patrick Mannarino said in a statement.
The 11,480-square foot expansion also includes a reworked playground area with several new equipment pieces and a hard-surface, rubber-coated playing area resembling the one that debuted at West View Elementary last year. The playground is expected to be completed in October.
