ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - An emotional Patrick Mannarino said he was "heartbroken and upset" by Gov. Tom Wolf's decision Thursday to extend the closure of all schools in the state through the end of the academic year. But the North Hills School District superintendent said the district, which is educating students remotely, will try to find a day over the summer to honor graduating students and students being promoted to middle and high school.

Mannarino said in a video sent to North Hills families that the district wants "to make that happen for our fifth and sixth grade students who are leaving their elementary school, for our eighth grade students who are leaving middle school, and for our class of 2020 to walk across that stage at Martorelli Stadium - because that's important to all of us."

Mannarino also vowed to attempt to hold the senior prom sometime over the summer.
