North Hills To Tweak High School Graduation Ceremony
Seniors are getting a larger say in the process, superintendent Patrick Mannarino says.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills High School will implement changes to its graduation ceremony this year, superintendent Patrick Mannarino announced.
All school district administrators and school board members now will wear gowns and administrators' gowns will reflect their degrees and achievements. All graduates will wear red gowns to promote a message of unity.
In September, the senior class officers, senior class advisors and representatives of Herff Jones - which manufactures and sells educational recognition and achievement products - met to explore how the Class of 2018 could create a new tradition with their gowns. Students were allowed to design their gowns, and the senior class had the opportunity to vote on the chosen design. In the future, all senior classes will have the same opportunity.
Students will continue to decorate their caps as a way to individualize their achievements and showcase their future plans, Mannarino said.
