North Hills Wind Ensemble To Perform In National Festival

North Hills is the only ensemble in Pennsylvania that was selected to play in the festival.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The North Hills High School wind ensemble is the only band from Pennsylvania - and one of just 16 in the country - invited to perform next month at the Music For All National Festival in Indianapolis.

The festival is a national showcase of the finest instrumental scholastic music. The festival is comprised of the National Concert Band Festival, the Orchestra America National Festival, the National Choir Festival, the Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival, and the Chamber Music National Festival. The Festival also features three national honor ensembles – the Honor Band of America, Honor Orchestra of America, and the Jazz Band of America – as well as the Music for All National Choir, a mass choir of all of the Festival choir participants, performing in concert accompanied by the Ball State University Orchestra and special guest vocal ensembles.

North Hills and other performing ensembles that will perform were selected through a recorded audition process. The listening panels included many of the most respected music educators in the country. Those selected were deemed to have achieved the highest level of musical performance and artistry.
