Foster had been a longtime, active member of the North Side Sportsman’s Association, Cranberry Elks Lodge # 2249, the Local #449 Steamfitters Union, North Hills Lodge #716 F. & A.M. (Free and Accepted Masons), and the Valley Vets.
Shields was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, and sports fan. His family suggests donations to the VFW Post 2754.
