Parkway North: Here Are This Weekend's Aggravations

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - You surely weren’t counting on a weekend without Parkway North lane restrictions and ramp closures, were you? If you were you’ll be disappointed as well as inconvenienced.

Northbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane between the Suffolk Street Bridge and the McKnight Road-Evergreen Road (Exit 4) interchange from 7 p.m. Friday through 8 p.m. Saturday night. Crews will conduct paving operations.

Paving operations will also occur on the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 5) interchange, so the northbound I-279 off-ramp will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday. Ramp traffic will be detoured as follows:

Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Perrysville Avenue:

  • Continue northbound on I-279 past the closed ramp.
  • Take the Bellevue/West View (Exit 7) off-ramp.
  • Turn left onto Union Avenue.
  • Take the ramp to southbound I-279 toward Pittsburgh.
  • From southbound I-279, take the Perrysville Avenue off-ramp.
  • Turn left onto Cemetery Lane.
  • End detour.

Additionally, single-lane restrictions will occur in each direction on Camp Horne Road between the northbound and southbound on-ramps to I-279 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Crews will conduct line painting operations.
