Parkway North: This Weekend's Ramp Closures & Lane Restrictions

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ramp closures and lane restrictions will hamper Parkway North traffic around Ross and Ohio townships this weekend. Here’s what you can expect, according to PennDOT:

Northbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between the Perrysville Avenue (Exit 5) and Camp Horne Road (Exit 8) interchanges from 7 p.m. Friday through noon on Saturday. A 15-minute traffic stoppage on northbound I-279 and the Perrysville Avenue, Bellevue-West View, and Camp Horne Road ramps may occur leading up to the single-lane closure to allow crews to set-up traffic control. Crews will conduct line eradication and line painting operations.

Additionally, the following ramps will close to traffic for paving operations:

• Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Evergreen Road from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday
• Northbound I-279 off-ramp to McKnight Road from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday
• Hazlett Street on-ramp to northbound I-279 from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Northbound I-279 off-ramp to Evergreen Road

• From northbound I-279, take the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) off-ramp.
• Take the ramp to McKnight Road.
• Take the ramp to Nelson Run Road.
• From Nelson Run Road take the ramp to West View Avenue.
• From West View Avenue take the ramp to southbound McKnight Road.
• Follow McKnight Road to Evergreen Road.
• End detour.

Northbound I-279 off-ramp to McKnight Road

• From northbound I-279, take the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) off-ramp.
• Take the ramp to Evergreen Drive.
• Turn left onto Evergreen Road.
• Turn right onto McKnight Road.
• End detour.

Hazlett Street on-ramp to northbound I-279

• Take East Street southbound.
• Turn left onto East North Avenue.
• Turn left onto Madison Avenue.
• Take the ramp to I-279 North.
• Follow I-279 northbound back to closed ramp.
• End detour.

The right-lane of northbound I-279 between Hazlett Street (Exit 3) to the McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) will close to traffic from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
