PennDOT Not Waiting For Weekend For Parkway North Restrictions

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - PennDOT usually waits until the weekend before making Parkway North motorists’ lives miserable as they reconstruct the highway. This week the agency is starting early.
Daylight restrictions will occur Nov. 8 and 9 in the following locations:
- A shoulder restriction will occur on the Bellevue/West View on and off-ramps (Exit 7) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday for guiderail work.
- A single-lane restriction will occur on northbound I-279 between the Cemetery Lane Bridge and the Jacks Run Road Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday for grinding and grooving latex concrete.
- A lane shift and shoulder closure will occur on the McKnight Road off-ramp (Exit 4) from northbound I-279 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday for sawing and sealing operations.
- A lane closure on East Street between Suffolk Street and Royal Street will occur from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for concrete work.
- A lane shift and shoulder closure will occur on the southbound Route 28 ramp to southbound I-279 from approximately 12:01 a.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday morning as crews replace strip seal glands.
