Wahlburgers Opens First Pittsburgh Location
The burger chain made its debut in the city on Tuesday.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Pittsburgh now has its first Wahlburgers. The Boston-based burger chain with the famous name opened Tuesday in The Block Northway.
“My brothers and I look forward to our first restaurant in Pittsburgh,” actor Mark Wahlberg said in a statement announcing the restaurant’s debut.”I have enormous respect for the city and its heritage. We wish you happy holidays and welcome you to Wahlburgers.”
Back in March, Wahlburgers announced plans to open two restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. The other reportedly will be built in the South Hills.
Though Wahlburgers obviously is first and foremost a burger joint, the menu features other items such as crispy haddock, seared chicken and vegetarian options. The chain's website also touts the restaurant's thin crispy onion rings, tater tots, frappes and floats.

Pittsburgh isn't the only city getting its first Wahlburgers. Business Insider reported earlier this year that the company signed agreements with franchisees to open 30 new restaurants in seven states. Wahlburgers plans to open a total of 118 new restaurants in the next five to seven years.
