Find out here how long the closure will last.

(Autumn Johnson/Patch)

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A section of the 4400 block of Mt. Troy Road Extension will be closed for about three months beginning Sept. 7.

The closure is necessary to build a support wall and install slope erosion protection and a guide rail, according to Allegheny County's Department of Public Works. Roadway, curb and drainage repairs also are part of the $582,000 project.

Traffic will be detoured using Mt. Troy Road and Ivory Avenue.
