Postal Truck Fire Under Investigation
State Police cannot yet confirm what caused the early morning truck fire that closed both northbound lanes of I-279.

Early this morning, a postal truck caught fire on I-279 north near the Camp Horne exit, closing both northbound lanes. The road has since reopened.
According to PA State Police Trooper and Public Information Offficer Robin Mungo, the truck driver's name is Russell Hickenbottom, 56. He exited the truck before the fire, according to WTAE reports.

State Police cannot yet confirm what caused the truck fire, said Mungo.
According to earlier reports by WTAE, Postal Service spokeswoman Cathy Yarosky said employees are sorting through each piece of mail -- mostly small parcels -- to see what can be delivered. Most of it was bound for areas outside of Pittsburgh.
