Rick Santorum Ends Presidential Campaign: What Do You Think?

The Republican presidential candidate just announced he's suspending his campaign.

Former U.S. senator turned out be one of his last in his quest to be the GOP’s presidential nominee.

Speaking in Gettysburg Tuesday afternoon, Santorum, who was raised in Butler, canceled his presidential campaign.

According to the Huffington Post, Santorum had taken a break from the campaign trail for several days to tend to his ailing daughter, Bella. He also faced a tough battle in his home state to win the April 24 Pennsylvania primary.

The move all but assures Mitt Romney will become the Republican presidential nominee. In his speech Tuesday, Santorum added the fight isn’t over, promising to help defeat President Barack Obama in 2012.

“There is a lot of greatness in our country,” he said. “We just need leaders who believe in that.”
