Ridgewood Church Opens Food Pantry in West View

Local church opens a food pantry just in time for the holidays.

Ridgewood Church has recently opened a food pantry for needy families in West View.

The food pantry which opened on Nov. 25, two days before Thanksgiving and just in time for the holiday season, plans to serve between 25 and 30 families, according to TribLive.com. The church does have requirements for those families it plans to help. Patrons of the food pantry must be local and either live on a fixed income, not make enough money to pay their bills or have emergency expenses, TribLive.com reports.

Those who would like to help the food pantry can make either nonperishable food or monetary donations. Nonperishable food donations can be dropped off at Center Avenue Slice, located at 332 Center Ave., or at Ridgewood Church, located at 131 Ridgewood Ave. in West View.
