Ross Commissioners Extend No-Parking Zone on Fairley Road
Vote comes after neighbors complained vehicles parked on the street create a safety hazard.

commissioner voted 7-0, with one absention, to extend the no-parking zone along a narrow section of Fairley Road.
Monday's vote followed complaints to the commissioners by two residents earlier in the month.
"We're having some major problems now," Christopher Hebda told the commissioners at their meeting July 2. "The way vehicles are placed on our street, it's not wide enough for a firetruck to get by."

The amended ordinance also elminates a handicapped parking spot on the street because the resident who used it has died, said solicitor Bonnie Brimmeier.
Robert Ansell, who owns the home on Fairley Road in which his brother William lives, opposed the move.
"You have taken very ounce of parking I have, on the back part of that property," he said. "I am a taxpayer, my brother is a taxpayer (and) I don't understand why you don't listen to us."
"No property owner has the right to on-street parking," Brimmeier said. "If you don't have sufficient parking, I suggest you widen your driveway. This township could make the whole street no-parking if it wanted to."
