Ross Fatal Hit And Run: Suspect Turns Herself In

A Glenshaw man was killed Sunday along Babcock Boulevard.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The driver involved in Sunday’s fatal hit-and-run accident on Babcock Boulevard turned herself into police Tuesday afternoon.

Melinda Gregor, 29, of Ross, faces charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, driving without a license and endangering the welfare of children. One of Gregor's children was in the car with her when the accident occurred near Shenanigans Bar & Grille and the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Michael Menner, 50, of Glenshaw. The Ross Philadelphia Pretzel Factory Facebook page stated that Menner was the father of a store employee.

In an interview with WPXI-TV, Gregor's attorney, Phil DiLucente, would not say why Gregor failed to stop after hitting Menner. But he suggested she might have thought she hit a deer.

"All I can tell you is what other people on Facebook and other witnesses say," DiLucente said. "They believe a deer was struck."
