Ross: Heavily Traveled Reopens After $1.9M Repair Project
The road closed March 9 for wall, embankment and roadway work, according to the Allegheny County Department of Public Works.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — After nearly four months, Mt. Troy Road Extension in Ross has reopened to traffic.
According to the Allegheny County Department of Public Works, the road had been closed since March 9 for a construction project that included a retaining wall and embankment, roadway repairs, and the installation of guide rail and pavement markings.
The work was required to complete those repairs and safety upgrades along the road extension.

The agency said Mt. Troy Road Extension is used by an average of 389 drivers daily, making the reopening significant for regular commuters and nearby residents who rely on the route.
The project cost $1.9 million.
