Ross Man Sentenced In Ex-Girlfriend's Strangulation Death
Robert Metz killed Dolores Miller in his Perrytown Place apartment.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A Ross man was sentenced to 15-to-30 years in prison Thursday for the strangulation death last year of his former girlfriend.
Robert Metz, 68, pleaded guilty in January to one count of third-degree murder and one count of abuse of a corpse in connection with the death of Dolores Miller, 56, of Sheraden. Metz admitted to strangling Miller at his Perrytown Place apartment after their relationship ended and she went there to retrieve some belongings.
Miller's body was discovered in the apartment on June 20, three days after she last was seen at her job at the Westin Convention Center hotel, Downtown. Miller's phone records led police to Metz.
